In cooperation with Next Generation Sensors, we are developing a carbon fiber reinforced vacuum chamber for use with thier lightweight mass spectrometer.

By using the CeraCarbon ceramic coating, a carbon fiber vacuum chamber can be created without the epoxy resin of the carbon fiber being exposed to the vacuum, preventing the offgassing issues normally presented by a carbon fiber composite in vacuum measurement applications. This allows for an ultra-light vacuum chamber.
